Our Ohio Games run will be hosted in conjunction with the Strawberry Festival in Troy, Ohio. So please join us for the Strawberry Classic 5k and 10k. Registration will be limited, please register now

  • The Strawberry Festival has been canceled for 2021, but we know that is not going to stop you from running!  So, we are offering the Strawberry 5k, 10k, and Shortcake Run all "In-Person" and all following COVID recommendations and guidelines in place at the time of the race.  
  • The race entry for the 5k and 10k is $30 and includes a tech shirt (if registered by May 31) and a custom finisher medal. 
  • Start Time: 8:00am EDT
  • Prize Money for the 10k: 1st Place - $100, 2nd Place - $50, 3rd Place - $25 (Male and Female)
  • Prize Money for the 5k: 1st Place- $50, 2nd Place - $25 (Male and Female)
  • The race entry for the 1k shortcake run is $5 and all runners will receive a ribbon upon finishing.
  • The race will start at City Park (across from Hobart Arena) and will be run on the river trail and around Duke Park.
  • No processing fees and no taxes.  The entry fee is the entry fee.

Anyone, from Any State Can Run in This Race!

We welcome all ages & abilities; you can walk, jog or race the event. Any athlete, from any state or country, can compete in any Ohio Games sports and events. Only Ohio residents can become an Ohio Games State Champion and qualify for the State Games of America. This means only athletes from Ohio will be eligible for our race awards. See below for more details. 

  • First, Second and Third, Male and Female, in each age group, for each race, are Ohio Games State Champions and are eligible to represent Ohio in the State Games of America! There will not be formal awards given for this event. Please see the posted results to see if you are an Ohio Games Champion.
  • See the State Games of America for more information on your event. The State Games of America is held once every 2 years. Not all sports are offered each year; see the site for details. All medalists from any Ohio Games sport (past and present) are eligible to compete in any State Games of America. You are not required to participate in the State Games of America.
