The Ohio Games run will be hosted in conjunction with the Strawberry Festival. The Troy Strawberry Festival is one of the premier midwest festivals.  The festival features over 100 arts & craft vendors, 60+ food vendors in historic, downtown Troy and along the river banks of the Great Miami River. The Festival has been supporting local non-profits for 46 years.

EVENT DETAILS

The Strawberry Festival is on for 2022!  The Strawberry Classic 5k and 10k runs, and the Strawberry Shortcake 1k are great events on the Sunday morning of the festival.  After the race, runners are rewarded with a well-earned Strawberry donut, one of the staples of the festival.  All 5k and 10k runners receive a custom finisher's medal and all shortcake runners earn a ribbon!

  • Prize Money for the 10k:  1st Place - $100, 2nd Place - $50, 3rd Place - $25 (Male and Female)
  • Prize Money for the 5k:  1st Place- $50, 2nd Place - $25 (Male and Female)
  • The race entry for the 5k and 10k is $35 and includes a tech shirt while supplies last. 
  • The race entry for the 1k shortcake run is $10 and all runners will receive a ribbon upon finishing.


Anyone, from Any State Can Run in This Race!

We welcome all ages & abilities; you can walk, jog or race the event. Any athlete, from any state or country, can compete in any Ohio Games sports and events. Only Ohio residents can become an Ohio Games State Champion and qualify for the State Games of America. This means only athletes from Ohio will be eligible for our race awards. See below for more details. 


Awards for OHIO RESIDENTS
  • First, Second and Third, Male and Female, in each age group, for each race, are Ohio Games State Champions and are eligible to represent Ohio in the State Games of America! There will not be formal awards given for this event. Please see the posted results to see if you are an Ohio Games Champion.
  • See the State Games of America for more information on your event. The State Games of America is held once every 2 years. Not all sports are offered each year; see the site for details. All medalists from any Ohio Games sport (past and present) are eligible to compete in any State Games of America. You are not required to participate in the State Games of America.

Athletes are required to provide their own injury insurance when they participate in the Ohio Games.
